    ANSWER: In many cases, physical therapy is all that’s needed to treat frozen shoulder. It can take time, however. Even with treatment, it may be six months to a year before full function is restored.
    Physical therapy can be very beneficial in the treatment of the frozen shoulder. Physical therapists often use modalities such as e-stim, ice, and/or heat, manual (hands-on) therapy, and exercise to help improve pain and promote a better range of motion.
