Grip strip or click and lock - BiggerPockets
Jan 1, 2017 · Going with vinyl flooring. Trying to decide whether to do the grip strip planks or the click and lock planks. HD has the grip strip ones for $1.79 sq/ft and has pretty good reviews. Also has click and lock for about $2.19 so not a major difference. Gonna need about 400 sq/ft done.

Lifeproof is roughly $2.80-3 sq ft and Stainmaster seems to be somewhat cheaper at $2.20-2.75 sq ft. The only complaint that I've consistently read is that an additional underlayment helps with any noise but I fear that may void the warranties.
